My Contract is Going to End this Christmas, by Beth Russell
(to the tune of It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas)
My contract is going to end this Christmas.
Soon the bills will come;
My VISA can stand no more, do not go in that store
You'll understand next month why I'm a bum.
My contract is going to end this Christmas
I'll have to sell my car;
The gasoline is crack, tires need to go front to back
And the steering wheel has acquired a funny jar.
An offer that will tell of a job that will pay well
Is the wish of this contractee.
Purses that will shine and cell phones that will chime
Are of no interest to me.
A house would be nice, but that's my only plea!
My contract is going to end this Christmas
Jobs have been turned down;
There was the one working with CIMS, and the other working for Jim
But the opportunities are long passed now.
My contract is going to end this Christmas
Say a prayer for me;
That the VISA will get paid, and my car will be ok
And that I'll have a job come January!!!
